FAITH
Faith is the belief and trust in God and His promises.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
- Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
- James 1:6
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”
- Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law.”

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.’”
WORKS
Works refer to actions or deeds, often in the context of demonstrating faith.
- James 2:17-18
“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’ Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

Grace, Faith, and Works Together
The relationship between grace, faith, and works is often discussed to show that salvation comes by grace through faith, but genuine faith produces works.
- Ephesians 2:8-10
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
- James 2:14
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?”
- Galatians 5:6
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.”
- Philippians 2:12-13
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good
pleasure.”
These verses highlight the balance between grace (God’s gift), faith (our trust in God), and works (evidence of our faith). Let me know if you’d like more detailed explanations of specific passages!
